We are looking for a results-driven EHS Manager to lead our safety and environmental initiatives in the heart of San Francisco. Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and policies.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local California regulations.
- Lead and investigate incident reports, near-misses, and accidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Manage hazardous waste disposal, chemical storage, and pollution control compliance.
- Design and deliver mandatory safety training programs for employees and contractors.
- Monitor sustainability metrics, including carbon footprint reduction and energy efficiency projects.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and internal management regarding safety compliance status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related Engineering field.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or CPEA is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a high-risk or industrial environment.
- Deep working knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and California environmental compliance standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to operational processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to diverse audiences.
