  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local California regulations.
  • Lead and investigate incident reports, near-misses, and accidents to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Manage hazardous waste disposal, chemical storage, and pollution control compliance.
  • Design and deliver mandatory safety training programs for employees and contractors.
  • Monitor sustainability metrics, including carbon footprint reduction and energy efficiency projects.
  • Act as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and internal management regarding safety compliance status.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related Engineering field.
  • Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or CPEA is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a high-risk or industrial environment.
  • Deep working knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations and California environmental compliance standards.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them to operational processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical data to diverse audiences.
