Responsibilities
- Policy Development: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS management systems aligned with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA).
- Incident Management: Lead thorough incident investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Training & Education: Conduct regular safety training sessions and toolbox talks to ensure all employees are aware of potential hazards and safety procedures.
- Audits & Inspections: Perform routine site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency.
- Emergency Response: Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and drills to ensure preparedness for critical situations.
- Sustainability: Drive initiatives focused on environmental sustainability, waste reduction, and energy efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and state environmental laws.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in EHS software and data analysis tools.
