Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and monitor the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system in alignment with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Risk Management: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, safety audits, and site inspections to identify potential hazards and implement control measures.
- Incident Management: Lead the investigation of accidents, near-misses, and environmental incidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to local regulations set by the National Environment Agency (NEA) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- Training & Development: Design and deliver engaging safety training programs for all levels of staff to foster a safety-first culture.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management and external stakeholders to integrate EHS goals into the company's business strategy.
- Emissions Control: Monitor environmental performance metrics, including waste management and emissions, to ensure sustainability targets are met.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related technical field.
- Certification: NEBOSH National Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent professional certification is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector in Singapore.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Singapore's environmental laws, safety regulations, and industrial hygiene practices.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence behavior change regarding safety protocols.
