Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust EHS management systems and programs in alignment with regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, local regulations) and industry best practices.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance, recommending and implementing corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and develop preventative measures to eliminate recurrence.
- Provide expert guidance and training to employees and management on EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
- Manage environmental permitting, reporting, and compliance activities, including waste management, air emissions, and water quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in EHS performance, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies.
- Oversee the EHS budget, resource allocation, and manage relationships with regulatory bodies and external EHS consultants.
- Foster a strong safety culture through proactive engagement, communication, and recognition programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within manufacturing, energy, or technology sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Professional certification such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or equivalent.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS programs and achieving significant safety improvements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in EHS software and management systems.
