Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA).
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and drive the development of preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
- Deliver engaging EHS training programs to all employees, fostering a strong safety culture and awareness.
- Manage environmental permitting requirements and waste management strategies to minimize ecological impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety considerations into project planning and operations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and documentation for regulatory bodies and internal audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in EHS management, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certification as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) is highly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and implement data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence behavior and drive change.
- Proficiency in EHS management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
