Responsibilities
- Advise on corporate governance, mergers & acquisitions, and venture capital transactions
- Develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs for international operations
- Manage intellectual property portfolios including patents, trademarks, and trade secrets
- Lead contract negotiations and drafting for strategic partnerships
- Conduct legal risk assessments for product launches and market entries
- Represent the company in regulatory proceedings and dispute resolutions
- Mentor junior legal staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from ABA-accredited law school
- 5+ years of corporate law experience with BigLaw or top-tier in-house counsel
- Active New York State Bar membership and in good standing
- Deep expertise in fintech regulations (SEC, FINRA, state money transmitter laws)
- Proven track record in managing cross-border transactions
- Exceptional contract negotiation and drafting skills
- Strong analytical abilities with business acumen
- Experience with legal tech tools (e.g., contract lifecycle management software)
