Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies for fashion apparel, aligning with brand vision and sales targets.
- Conduct in-depth market research, trend analysis, and competitive landscape assessments to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch, including assortment planning, vendor negotiations, and inventory optimization.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, merchandising, marketing, and sales teams to ensure cohesive product storytelling and impactful campaigns.
- Analyze sales performance, profitability, and key KPIs, implementing data-driven adjustments to maximize revenue and margin.
- Identify and onboard new vendors, fostering strong relationships and negotiating favorable terms to enhance product offerings.
- Oversee pricing strategies, promotional planning, and visual merchandising guidelines to drive engagement and conversion.
- Present category performance insights, strategic recommendations, and future plans to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in retail category management, buying, or merchandising, specifically within fashion apparel or luxury goods.
- Demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, market analysis, and financial acumen with a strong understanding of retail KPIs.
- Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive profitable growth.
