Responsibilities
- Perform complex adult echocardiographic exams with high diagnostic accuracy.
- Provide clinical mentorship and technical oversight to sonography staff.
- Maintain equipment calibration and ensure compliance with ICAEL standards.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to interpret findings and document reports.
- Manage daily exam workflows to maximize patient throughput and comfort.
- Participate in periodic peer-review audits to ensure imaging quality standards.
- Develop and implement new ultrasound protocols to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a hospital or specialized cardiology clinic.
- BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in 3D/4D echocardiography and transesophageal procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex findings to patients.
- Strong background in image archiving systems (PACS) and EMR integration.
- Proven leadership experience or clinical precepting background preferred.
