Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end transportation operations including route optimization, carrier management, and regulatory compliance
- Analyze logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and service improvements
- Manage multimodal transportation (truck, rail, intermodal) for high-volume shipments
- Develop and maintain relationships with key carrier partners and vendors
- Implement sustainability initiatives including alternative fuel adoption and route efficiency programs
- Oversee transportation budget management and cost variance analysis
- Mentor logistics team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation operations with 3+ years in leadership
- Expert knowledge of FMCSA regulations and transportation compliance frameworks
- Proficiency in TMS platforms (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Active) and data analytics tools
- Proven track record of optimizing multimodal transportation networks
- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving abilities with quantifiable results
- Valid commercial driver's license (Class A) and hazmat certification preferred
