Apex Logistics Solutions is expanding its operations in the Houston area and is looking for a highly skilled Fleet Operations Manager to lead our transportation department. Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the company's vehicle fleet, including scheduling, routing, and maintenance.
- Develop and enforce strict safety policies to ensure 100% DOT compliance and accident reduction.
- Analyze fuel consumption and maintenance costs to optimize budget allocation and reduce operational expenses.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of professional drivers and logistics staff.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors for vehicle inspections, repairs, and parts procurement.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports on fleet performance, KPIs, and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation management.
- Strong working knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations, OSHA standards, and safety protocols.
- Proven track record of managing a fleet budget and negotiating with service vendors.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to drive operational improvements.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred.
- Proficiency in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
