- Oversee daily operations of 50+ carrier relationships and 200+ daily shipments
- Develop data-driven routing strategies using TMS platforms to reduce transit times by 15%
- Manage $5M+ transportation budget and implement cost-reduction initiatives
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including warehouse, procurement, and customer service
- Ensure 99.8% on-time delivery performance through proactive exception management
- Drive sustainability programs targeting 20% reduction in carbon emissions
- Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation management with 3+ in leadership
- Expert knowledge of FTL/LTL regulations, FMCSA compliance, and DOT guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan, Blue Yonder)
- Proven track record of optimizing logistics networks and reducing freight costs
- Strong analytical skills with experience in KPI dashboards and predictive analytics
- Professional certification (CSCP, CTL, or CPIM) highly desirable
- Ability to obtain TWIC card and pass TSA background check
