Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations including route optimization and fleet deployment
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts with 3PL providers
- Analyze KPIs and implement cost-reduction strategies across logistics networks
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations and safety protocols
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing TMS technology upgrades
- Develop contingency plans for weather-related disruptions and supply chain risks
- Mentor junior staff and conduct performance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration
- 5+ years experience in transportation management or logistics operations
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and route planning software
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) or CPIM designation preferred
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making experience
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management capabilities
- Ability to manage budgets exceeding $5M annually
