Responsibilities
- Orchestrate Logistics Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve service levels across all distribution channels.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), freight forwarders, and raw material suppliers to ensure timely procurement and delivery.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current supply chain workflows and identify areas for improvement, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of logistics coordinators, analysts, and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety protocols, regarding warehousing and transportation operations.
- Crisis Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, logistics operations, or operations research.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, interpret supply chain metrics, and make data-informed decisions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information to stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
