Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations across 5+ distribution centers, optimizing routes and reducing fleet costs by 15% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing IoT-driven fleet management systems and predictive maintenance protocols
- Develop strategic partnerships with 3PL providers and rail carriers to enhance multi-modal logistics capabilities
- Ensure 99.8% on-time delivery performance through real-time monitoring and contingency planning
- Drive sustainability initiatives including EV fleet adoption and carbon footprint reduction programs
- Manage $2M+ operational budget while maintaining strict compliance with FMCSA and EPA regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation operations with 3+ in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder) and telematics solutions (Samsara, Geotab)
- Proven track record of reducing logistics costs while improving service metrics
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data sets and KPI dashboards
- CDL-A license or equivalent transportation industry certification required
- Experience managing unionized teams and navigating labor relations
