Responsibilities
- Strategize and execute multi-modal transportation plans across rail, truck, and air freight networks
- Lead cross-functional teams of dispatchers, drivers, and logistics coordinators
- Implement AI-powered route optimization algorithms reducing fuel costs by 15%
- Manage compliance with FMCSA, DOT, and international transport regulations
- Develop KPI dashboards tracking cost-per-mile, delivery times, and carbon footprint
- Negotiate contracts with 3PL providers and shipping carriers
- Spearhead sustainability initiatives including EV fleet integration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Engineering
- 8+ years progressive experience in transportation operations
- Proven expertise in TMS platforms (Descartes, Manhattan, or Blue Yonder)
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in SQL and Power BI
- Valid CDL Class A license preferred
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Experience managing unionized workforce
- Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) designation preferred
