Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including fleet management, route optimization, and carrier negotiations
- Develop and implement sustainable logistics strategies reducing carbon footprint by 20% annually
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure seamless freight movement across 5 distribution centers
- Analyze transportation KPIs using Power BI to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multimodal transportation networks including rail, air, and intermodal solutions
- Comply with FMCSA regulations and maintain DOT compliance documentation
- Collaborate with procurement to negotiate favorable contracts with 3PL providers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
- 8+ years progressive transportation management experience in high-volume operations
- Proven expertise in TMS implementation and optimization (SAP TM preferred)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in transportation cost modeling
- CDL-A license and hazardous materials certification required
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and route planning software
- Track record of reducing transportation costs by 15%+ while maintaining service levels
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience managing carrier relationships
