Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end transportation operations including truckload, LTL, and intermodal shipments
- Optimize routing and carrier relationships to reduce costs by 15% annually
- Implement TMS (Transportation Management System) solutions and data analytics
- Lead cross-functional teams in supply chain strategy and compliance
- Manage $50M+ transportation budgets with P&L accountability
- Drive sustainability initiatives through route optimization and carrier partnerships
- Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions and weather events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Administration (MBA preferred)
- 8+ years in transportation management with 3+ years in leadership
- Expertise in TMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, Manhattan Associates)
- Proven track record in carrier negotiations and contract management
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and SQL
- CDL certification or equivalent logistics credentials (CSCP, CTL) preferred
- Experience with international shipping regulations and customs clearance
