Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive logistical strategies to improve fleet efficiency and reduce transit times.
- Manage end-to-end transportation operations, including dispatch, routing, and carrier coordination.
- Oversee departmental KPIs, ensuring budget adherence and service-level agreement compliance.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of dispatchers, warehouse coordinators, and administrative staff.
- Identify and implement cutting-edge transportation management software (TMS) to streamline workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to troubleshoot supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure full compliance with USDOT regulations and all safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in transportation operations or freight management.
- Proven expertise in managing multi-modal transport networks (TL, LTL, Intermodal).
- Strong proficiency with TMS platforms and data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Exceptional leadership skills with a track record of managing teams of 10+ employees.
- Deep understanding of federal transportation laws and safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with carriers and vendors.
