Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end transportation strategies across rail, road, and air freight networks
- Lead cross-functional teams to optimize route planning and carrier partnerships
- Develop predictive analytics models for demand forecasting and capacity planning
- Oversee multimodal transportation budgets exceeding $25M annually
- Drive sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction programs
- Implement IoT and telematics solutions for real-time fleet monitoring
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service-level agreements
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA, FRA, and international transport regulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transportation Management (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years progressive experience in transportation logistics with 5+ in leadership roles
- Expertise in TMS platforms (SAP TM, Oracle TMS, or Blue Yonder)
- Proven track record of reducing transportation costs by 15%+
- Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision-making capabilities
- CPIM or CSCP certification highly desirable
- Experience managing multi-modal transportation networks in the Midwest region
- Knowledge of EV fleet integration and alternative fuel strategies
