SwiftLogistics Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Transportation Logistics Analyst to optimize our freight operations and drive cost-efficiency across the supply chain. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze transportation networks, negotiate with carriers, and implement innovative strategies that reduce lead times and improve service levels.
Responsibilities
- Analyze Transportation Data: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, freight costs, and carrier performance to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Route Optimization: Develop and maintain routing plans that minimize fuel consumption and transit times while maximizing asset utilization.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers, conducting regular audits and performance reviews.
- Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing, load consolidation, and rate negotiations.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including FMCSA guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Lead process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency within the logistics department.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive reports for executive leadership, providing actionable insights on supply chain performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in transportation logistics, supply chain analysis, or freight operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as Oracle Transportation Management, Manhattan Associates, or SAP TM. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with SQL or BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI) are highly desirable.
- Analytical Ability: Exceptional ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of troubleshooting complex logistical issues and implementing effective solutions.
