Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex corporate and personal tax returns in strict accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Develop comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize liability and maximize efficiency for clients.
- Conduct detailed tax research and analysis on legislative changes affecting the UK market.
- Liaise directly with HMRC and other regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues and inquiries.
- Lead a team of junior tax associates, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
- Prepare tax-related correspondence, detailed reports, and presentations for executive stakeholders.
Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent professional qualification is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate tax environment within the UK.
- Deep understanding of UK tax law, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and corporation tax.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to clients.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel and tax software such as Xero, Sage, or specific tax compliance tools.
