Responsibilities
- Prepare and file complex corporate and personal tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients in accordance with UK tax legislation.
- Conduct thorough tax planning and advisory to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Manage correspondence with HMRC and tax authorities, including responding to inquiries and handling audits.
- Oversee and mentor junior members of the tax team, ensuring quality control of all outputs.
- Perform regular tax health checks and reconciliations for internal and external clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax law and ensure the team adapts to new regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) with a focus on taxation.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in a UK tax environment.
- Deep understanding of Corporation Tax, Income Tax, and Capital Gains Tax legislation.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and tax software (e.g., CCH, TaxCalc, Xero).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a client-facing attitude.
