Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company goals, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods.
- Operations Oversight: Manage daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and freight forwarding, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and optimize service levels.
- Process Optimization: Analyze current workflows and implement process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a diverse team of logistics coordinators and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and high performance.
- Data Analysis: Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, freight costs, and inventory turnover to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Crisis Management: Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop robust contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain operations, logistics management, or a related role.
- Certifications: Professional certification such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or CSCP (ASCM) is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and advanced knowledge of logistics software and data analytics tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing high-stakes projects within tight deadlines.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking with the ability to troubleshoot complex operational issues and drive sustainable solutions.
