Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement end-to-end supply chain strategies that drive cost reduction and improve service levels across global operations.
- Operational Leadership: Manage a team of logistics professionals, overseeing daily operations, KPI tracking, and performance reviews.
- Inventory Optimization: Monitor inventory levels and turnover rates to prevent stockouts and reduce carrying costs.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, third-party logistics providers, and suppliers to ensure service excellence.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current workflows and implement lean manufacturing or logistics methodologies to streamline operations.
- Data Analysis: Utilize advanced analytics to forecast demand, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and supply chain software.
- Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven track record of solving complex logistical challenges under tight deadlines.
- Certifications: PMP, CSCP, or APICS certification is a plus.
