You will act as a bridge between cross-functional teams, ensuring that our inventory levels, vendor relationships, and distribution channels operate with maximum agility and profitability. Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement high-level supply chain strategies that align with company goals, focusing on cost reduction and process improvement.
- Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of warehousing, transportation, and inventory management to ensure timely delivery and accurate stock levels.
- Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carriers, negotiating contracts to secure the best rates and service levels.
- Performance Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), lead times, and carrying costs; implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Compliance & Risk: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, while identifying and mitigating potential operational risks.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop a high-performing team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced knowledge of supply chain software and analytics tools.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to executive stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistical challenges and implement effective solutions.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally to distribution centers and vendor sites.
