Responsibilities
- Process Optimization: Analyze current logistics workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements that reduce lead times and operational costs.
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with warehousing teams to ensure optimal inventory turnover and asset utilization.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and freight forwarders to secure competitive shipping rates and reliable routes.
- Strategic Reporting: Generate comprehensive supply chain reports, utilizing data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and performance reviews.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all shipping documentation and customs procedures strictly adhere to international trade laws and EU regulations.
- Crisis Management: Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain disruptions and manage emergency shipments effectively during peak seasons.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations within a global environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Dutch is a significant plus.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of resolving logistical challenges under pressure.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of Incoterms, customs clearance, and international shipping regulations.
