Responsibilities
- Network Optimization: Analyze current freight lanes and carrier performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and route efficiency improvements.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Develop complex KPI dashboards using SQL and Power BI to track inventory levels, transit times, and on-time delivery rates.
- Vendor Management: Conduct performance reviews with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and negotiate contracts based on data-driven insights.
- Process Improvement: Lead cross-functional initiatives to streamline warehouse operations and implement best practices in supply chain management.
- Forecasting: Utilize historical data to create accurate demand forecasts, ensuring optimal inventory turnover and stock availability.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, logistics operations, or data analytics within the freight industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation. Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates) is highly desirable.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
