We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core engineering team in San Francisco to push the boundaries of what is possible in distributed computing.
You will work with a world-class team of engineers, participate in open-source contributions, and own mission-critical components of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable distributed systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high engineering standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance, stability, and security in production environments.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of engineering excellence.
- Participate in architectural discussions and influence the long-term technical roadmap.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system bottlenecks and production incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Expertise in at least one modern language: Go, Java, Python, or Rust.
- Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Proven experience designing RESTful APIs and working with microservices architectures.
- Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and system design patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment.
