Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive intervention plans for vulnerable populations including children, families, and seniors
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions in high-stakes environments
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (healthcare, legal, education) to coordinate holistic care
- Provide trauma-informed counseling and advocacy services to diverse communities
- Maintain accurate case documentation and ensure compliance with provincial regulations
- Lead community outreach programs to address systemic barriers and promote social equity
- Mentor junior social workers through supervision and professional guidance
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in direct social services practice
- Registered or eligible for registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers
- Proven expertise in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention protocols
- Strong cultural competency with experience serving marginalized populations
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to navigate complex systems
- Certification in suicide intervention (ASIST) or equivalent preferred
- Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable transportation for community visits
