Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, root cause analysis, and remediation
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and compliance audits
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python, Ansible, and Terraform
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor junior engineers and establish security best practices across the organization
- Stay current with threat intelligence and emerging security technologies
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity with 3+ years in engineering roles
- Expert-level knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerization
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security automation tools
- Deep understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Strong background in threat modeling and secure coding practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure
