Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced security controls across cloud, network, and application environments
- Lead incident response activities including threat hunting, forensic analysis, and mitigation planning
- Develop security automation using Python, Ansible, and SIEM tools
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for critical systems
- Mentor junior engineers and establish security best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive defense strategies
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security engineering or architecture roles
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network security (Firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Strong programming skills (Python, Go) and experience with security automation
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification required
- Proven experience leading incident response and threat management
- Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex security concepts
