The Role:
As a Senior Security Engineer, you will act as the technical guardian of our organization. You will collaborate with DevOps, IT, and Legal teams to integrate security into every phase of the software development lifecycle. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining our ISO 27001 certification and ensuring compliance with GDPR and CCPA.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage advanced security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Lead incident response efforts for security breaches, performing forensics and root cause analysis.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor security alerts and trends to proactively identify emerging threats.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to secure cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud architectures.
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or Security+ are highly preferred.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for security automation.
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, or Check Point.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
