Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-prem environments
- Develop zero-trust architectures and automate security workflows with Python/Ansible
- Incident response coordination for critical breaches with 24/7 on-call rotation
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Research emerging threats and publish threat intelligence reports
- Mentor junior engineers on security best practices and compliance frameworks
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in hands-on security engineering roles
- Certifications: CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent (CISM/GCIH acceptable)
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments (Kubernetes)
- Proficiency in network protocols, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Experience with compliance frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2)
- Strong scripting abilities (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Proven track record leading security incident response
- Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field
