Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM and EDR technologies
- Lead incident response for security breaches including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-prem environments
- Develop security automation scripts using Python and Ansible for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines
- Maintain compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR standards
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to security awareness training programs
Qualifications
- 8+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security engineering roles
- Expert knowledge of network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS) and cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Certifications: CISSP, OSCP, or equivalent required
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and security tools (Splunk, Qualys)
- Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Demonstrated success in leading security incident response
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
