Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced threat detection systems using SIEM platforms like Splunk
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability assessments across cloud/on-premises environments
- Develop incident response playbooks and coordinate breach mitigation efforts
- Architect zero-trust network security frameworks and access control policies
- Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 standards
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness initiatives across departments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with 3+ years in security engineering roles
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or OSCP (preferred)
- Proficiency in Python/Go for automation and security tool development
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike)
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex security projects under tight deadlines
