Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust architectures
- Lead incident response procedures, including threat hunting and forensic analysis
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability management
- Develop and maintain security automation using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Python
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry best practices (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
- Mentor junior security engineers and foster a security-first culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity roles with hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Expertise in security frameworks: SIEM (Splunk/QRadar), EDR, and WAF solutions
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Bash) for security automation
- CISSP, CISM, or OSCP certification preferred
- Proven experience leading security incident response and threat mitigation
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for stakeholders
