Responsibilities
- Design and implement robust security architectures including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and zero-trust networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and incident response coordination
- Develop and maintain security automation tools using Python and Ansible
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
- Lead security awareness training and policy development initiatives
- Manage security compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SOC 2)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise security engineering and threat mitigation
- Expertise in cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and containerized environments
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cryptography, and authentication systems
- Certifications (CISSP, CEH, or OSCP) or equivalent practical experience
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Proven ability to translate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
