Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge security controls for cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Lead incident response for critical security events, including threat hunting and forensic analysis
- Develop automation for security operations using SIEM (Splunk/Sentinel) and SOAR platforms
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments for web/mobile applications
- Create security architecture documentation and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Mentor junior engineers and drive security awareness across the organization
- Research emerging threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- 8+ years of cybersecurity experience with 3+ years in cloud security architecture
- Expert knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP Top 10
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CCSP, or OSCP (required)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native security tools (WAF, IAM, CSPM, CSP)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for security automation
- Strong background in network security protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, IDS/IPS)
- Experience building security programs in regulated industries (finance/healthcare preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts to stakeholders
