Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal buying plans and assortment strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Analyze sales data, inventory turnover, and gross margin to make data-driven purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with visual merchandising teams to ensure floor presentation supports sales targets.
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms.
- Lead and mentor a team of junior buyers and merchandisers, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Monitor stock levels and implement replenishment strategies to minimize markdowns.
- Prepare and present monthly performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or fashion management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and POS systems.
- Proven track record of managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex sales data.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel to vendors and trade shows as required.
