Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive merchandising strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory turnover.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to forecast demand and identify new business opportunities.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
- Inventory Control: Oversee stock levels, plan seasonal assortments, and minimize markdowns through accurate demand planning.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Creative, Marketing, and E-commerce teams to align product launches with promotional calendars.
- Performance Review: Analyze sales reports and KPIs regularly to optimize product mix and store layout strategies.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in retail merchandising, preferably within a high-volume or luxury segment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in retail management systems (RMS), ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and advanced Excel/data analysis tools.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading a team and managing cross-functional projects.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders clearly.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
