Responsibilities
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and seasonal forecasts to develop optimal buying strategies and inventory plans.
- Collaborate closely with the Buying and Design teams to ensure product assortment aligns with consumer demand.
- Manage stock levels, monitor turnover rates, and execute replenishment strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock.
- Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate terms, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of merchandise.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as gross margin return on investment (GMROI) and sell-through rates.
- Lead the merchandising team by providing mentorship and setting clear performance goals.
- Conduct regular store visits to assess floor presentation and merchandise placement effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in retail merchandising, buying, or inventory management.
- Proven track record of using retail ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the fashion or apparel industry is highly preferred.
- Ability to travel between locations as needed.
