Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive pre-season financial plans for assigned product categories.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to optimize assortment depth and breadth based on historical data and trend forecasting.
- Monitor weekly, monthly, and seasonal sales performance, identifying risks and opportunities for margin improvement.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) processes to ensure healthy inventory turns and minimize markdowns.
- Partner with supply chain logistics to streamline replenishment cycles and stock balancing across distribution centers.
- Conduct deep-dive post-mortem analyses on key categories to provide actionable insights for future collections.
- Lead cross-functional meetings with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to align inventory flow with promotional calendars.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex modeling) and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of retail math, including GMROI, sell-through, and inventory turnover metrics.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus across departments.
- Exceptional analytical thinking with a keen eye for retail market trends.
- Experience in fashion or luxury retail environments preferred.
