Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) to predict future field performance and optimize production forecasts.
  • Analyze well performance data, pressure transient tests, and geological models to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
  • Design and implement reservoir management plans to maximize asset value and extend field life.
  • Collaborate with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and facilities teams to ensure seamless integration of reservoir data into field operations.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, economic evaluations, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular audits of reservoir models and production data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on reservoir engineering principles and software applications.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas reservoir engineering.
  • Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, tNavigator, Petrel).
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, rock physics, and reservoir characterization techniques.
  • Experience with production data analysis and forecasting tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to non-technical audiences.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a strong plus.
