Responsibilities
- Execute complex reservoir simulation models using Petrel and Eclipse to drive strategic field development plans.
- Conduct detailed pressure transient analysis (PTA) and rate transient analysis (RTA) to optimize well performance and longevity.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the identification and implementation of secondary and tertiary recovery methods (EOR/IOR).
- Formulate annual reserve estimations in strict accordance with SEC and SPE-PRMS guidelines.
- Provide technical oversight for exploration appraisal and economic evaluations for potential acquisitions.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a high-performance environment of technical excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s or PhD is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Demonstrated mastery in reservoir simulation software, specifically CMG, Nexus, or Petrel RE.
- Proven expertise in unconventional shale play development or deepwater asset management.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on risk management and economic decision-making.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
