Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, Petrel).
- Analyze production data and reservoir performance to identify optimization opportunities and increase recovery factors.
- Collaborate with drilling and production engineers to design and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies.
- Perform economic evaluations of drilling projects and field development plans to ensure profitability and ROI.
- Lead technical reviews and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the integration of geological data into reservoir models to ensure accurate representation of subsurface conditions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Proficient in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, or similar) and petrophysical analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, rock mechanics, and reservoir characterization.
- P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is a significant plus.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading technical teams.
