Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex full-field reservoir simulation models for multi-well development programs.
- Conduct material balance analysis, decline curve analysis, and pressure transient analysis.
- Provide technical support for field development planning, including well placement optimization and recovery enhancement strategies.
- Collaborate with geophysicists to integrate seismic data into static and dynamic reservoir models.
- Perform reserves estimation and audit reporting in compliance with SEC standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical oversight for production forecasting.
- Present data-driven insights to executive stakeholders to influence multi-million dollar capital investment decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas upstream sector.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software suites such as Eclipse, Petrel, CMG, or Kappa.
- Proven track record in unconventional reservoir modeling and horizontal well performance analysis.
- Strong understanding of economic evaluation and project risk assessment.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategies.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred but not required.
