Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and execution of reservoir characterization studies, including seismic interpretation and petrophysical analysis.
- Develop and maintain detailed reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) to forecast production and optimize well placement.
- Analyze complex geological and engineering data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production engineers, to integrate data and ensure project alignment.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and models for stakeholders and senior management reviews.
- Conduct economic evaluations and reserve reporting in compliance with SEC and SPE standards.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Geoscience, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas sector.
- Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of PVT properties, fluid dynamics, and reservoir drive mechanisms.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
