Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sophisticated reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software such as Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG.
- Analyze reservoir performance data and well tests to identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and increased production efficiency.
- Lead technical studies and provide expert recommendations to senior management regarding field development plans and capital expenditures.
- Conduct detailed pressure transient analysis and fluid property evaluations to understand reservoir behavior and drive decision-making.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on modeling techniques, data interpretation, and best practices.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to integrate geological data into reservoir models for accurate forecasting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Proficient in reservoir simulation software (Petrel, Eclipse, or similar) and geological interpretation tools.
- Strong understanding of PVT properties, reservoir drive mechanisms, and fluid flow dynamics.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to present complex data to stakeholders.
