Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to predict fluid behavior and optimize production strategies
- Conduct comprehensive well performance analysis and recommend completion techniques to enhance recovery rates
- Lead field development planning projects including well placement, drilling programs, and facility design
- Perform economic evaluations and reserve assessments to guide investment decisions
- Develop and manage production forecasting models for both conventional and unconventional assets
- Collaborate with geoscience teams to integrate geological data into reservoir characterization
- mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on industry best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- Minimum 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream Oil & Gas operations
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (Petrel, Eclipse, Nexus, CMG)
- Strong understanding of reservoir characterization techniques and enhanced oil recovery methods
- Proven experience with production data analysis and decline curve forecasting
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts
- Valid P.E. license or eligible for registration in Texas
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary reservoir studies
