Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive reservoir models using industry-standard software such as Eclipse and Petrel.
- Analyze pressure data, fluid properties, and geological data to forecast reservoir performance and production trends.
- Design and implement enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies to maximize field life and economic returns.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and production engineers to integrate data from various disciplines.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders regarding reservoir simulations and forecasting models.
- Conduct reservoir surveillance to identify potential well interventions and facility modifications.
- Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations during project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, or Petrel) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid dynamics, and rock mechanics.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
- PE License (Professional Engineer) is highly preferred.
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale, tight sand) is a plus.
